Who is Dr. Frank Tufaro?
Frank Tufaro, Ph.D. is currently the founder and CEO of start-up company Allera Health Products, Inc. located in St. Petersburg, FL. Allera recently launched its first product in the U.S. Marketplace, a specialty dietary supplement for use as immune therapy.
As a university professor, Frank directed a large research team with significant accomplishments. He served on the Canadian Institutes of Health Research Viral Pathogenesis grant panel as an expert in HIV, hep C, and herpesvirus, and delivered a keynote address at the 2005 Hermelin Brain Tumor symposium at the Henry Ford Hospital, on novel viral therapies for the treatment of brain tumors. In 2003, he was appointed to the Scientific Advisory Board of Oncolytics Biotech of Calgary, Canada, and more recently was appointed Executive Chairman of DNAtrix, a brain tumor therapy company spun out of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX.
